Fans React to Jennifer Lopez Wearing a ‘Bennifer’ Necklace Months After Divorce from Ben Affleck

The "Kiss of the Spider Woman" star wore the necklace in a recent social media post. The following morning, during an interview, she said her divorce from the actor was "the best thing" that ever happened to her.

Jennifer Lopez is moving on — and she's doing it on her own terms. The 56-year-old singer and actress took to Instagram on Saturday, September 27, to share a mini update in a short carousel. In the images, Lopez looked stunning in full glam makeup.

Her honey-toned balayage hair was styled in voluminous waves swept to the side, and she wore a lavender knit top. However, what caught the attention of many eagle-eyed fans was her choice of jewelry.

While the pictures — taken in front of a mirror — were inverted, many realized the pendant of Lopez's necklace read "Bennifer." The moniker is a combination of her name and her ex-husband's, Ben Affleck.

"Her necklace says Bennifer?? Or do I need glasses 👓? Either way she looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥," one person wrote. "Am I crazy or does the necklace say Bennifer?! 🧐" another wondered.

Lopez never addressed the speculation, but she did reflect on the end of her marriage to the "Gone Girl" star the following day, September 28, during her interview on "CBS Sunday Morning."

"I have to say it was the best thing that ever happened to me," she said. "It helped me grow in a way that I needed to grow. Um, become more self-aware. I'm a different person now than I was last year, I think, a year and a half ago."

Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in 2021, more than 17 years after they were initially engaged. They had planned to marry in 2003 but separated in 2004. They eventually married in 2022, but after two years of marriage, Lopez filed for divorce. The split was finalized in January 2025.
