
Prince Harry’s Latest U.K. Visit Holds a Special Memory for Him and Meghan
The Duke of Sussex touched down in his home country at the beginning of this week for a planned visit to attend several charity events. He recently stepped out in Nottingham, a place that holds special significance for him and his wife.
Prince Harry has been making the most of his visit to the U.K. after arriving in his home country on Monday, September 8. The Duke of Sussex recently stepped out in the city of Nottingham, England, on Tuesday, to visit the Community Recording Studio in St. Ann's.

Nottingham holds a special place in Harry's heart. It was there that he and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, carried out their first official joint royal duty just days after announcing their engagement on December 1, 2017.

Harry brought out his then-fiancée to meet everyday Britons who gathered at the National Justice Museum to greet the couple. The pair were photographed walking arm in arm and happily interacting with the citizens.

Afterward, they attended the Terrence Higgins Trust World AIDS Day charity fair at Nottingham Contemporary and later met head teachers, along with Full Effect staff and mentors. Full Effect is a programme that helps prevent children and young people from becoming involved in youth violence and crime.

Buckingham Palace had announced that they were getting married in a statement on November 27, 2017. The couple, who later married in May 2018, began dating in July 2016 and officially went public with their relationship that October.

"His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle," Clarence House wrote at the time.

"His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle became engaged in London earlier this month. Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle's parents," the statement continued.
