Kyle Richards' daughter Alexia Umansky has begun a new chapter. The young TV personality is officially wed to her longtime partner, Jake Zingerman. The ceremony took place in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 7.
The couple hosted 250 guests at their "family-oriented" celebration, where Kyle's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" co-stars Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne, and Teddi Mellencamp were also in attendance.
Alexia, described as having an "eclectic" taste and a desire to make her events "feel homey and as intimate as possible," drew inspiration from the fictional Night Court in Sarah J. Maas' "A Court of Thorns and Roses" fantasy romance series for her wedding.
She shared that her mother helped her plan the festivities, while her father, Mauricio Umansky, also gave his support. "In the beginning, [my mom] thought that I would be open to doing this all on my own because I can be particular," Alexia told PEOPLE.
"But one day I looked at her and I was like, 'No, no, no. We need to be doing this together.' It's almost like there's a little too much pressure when it comes to your wedding day," she continued. "I can't be making decisions on my own. I need my mom to hold my hand a little bit."
Alexia met her husband 21 years ago in elementary school. The pair began as friends and grew close over the years, but their romance didn't bloom until 2019. Alexia shared that there had been a spark between them for some time before they started officially dating.
It took courage from both sides to admit they had feelings for one another, but eventually, they did. "I'm honestly just so excited to be growing up and sharing a home with my best friend," Alexia said of Jake.
"We've always had the most, most, most fun together, so it's maybe cliché to say, but [I'm looking forward to] just the amount of fun we're going to continue to have," she shared.
