Bruce Willis' Wife Emma Heming Willis Shares Husband's Health Update
The "Die Hard" actor's wife has finally opened up about his diagnosis and how he's doing right now, healthwise.
On August 26, 2025, "Good Morning America" broadcast an interview with Bruce Willis' wife, Emma Heming Willis. The 47-year-old British model revealed to Diane Sawyer how her husband was doing with his frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
"Bruce is still very mobile. Bruce is in really great health overall. It's just his brain that is failing him," Emma revealed during the conversation. "Yeah, the language is going, and we've learned to adapt, and we have a way of communicating with him, which is just a different way."
They first noticed something was wrong when Bruce started becoming more subdued. "For someone who was very talkative and very engaged, he was just a little more quiet, and when the family would get together, he would kind of just melt a little bit," she explained.
The actor also began to stutter again, something that hadn't happened since his childhood. The people around him became alarmed when he started acting "cold," as he was usually full of warmth and affection for his loved ones.
For a while, they had no idea what was happening because it's not an easy condition to detect. "You know, FTD can be diagnosed as bipolar, midlife crisis, depression, and a lot of doctors don't know about FTD," the model added.
However, a brain scan finally gave them the answer, although it wasn't comforting due to the aggressive nature of this type of dementia.
