Catherine Zeta-Jones on Owning Four Homes with Husband: ‘Not Excessive’
"The Mask of Zorro" actress shared her thoughts about owning several estates during a recently published interview. She and her husband own four homes across three countries.
Catherine Zeta-Jones is not afraid to get candid about how she chooses to use her wealth. The longtime actress owns four homes with her husband, actor and film producer Michael Douglas. The couple has two abodes in New York, one in Canada, and another in Spain.

"I know it sounds very jet set, and I love to surround myself with beauty," Zeta-Jones told The Times in an interview published on Saturday, August 16. "But it's not excessive, it's very comfortable."
Zeta-Jones and Douglas particularly enjoy spending time together as a couple in their home in Spain, where the pressures of the spotlight are much less intense. "Two celebrities together make ten. It's just the way it is," the "Wednesday" star said.
"There's two versions of the story and there's two make-believes," she continued. "We don't listen to the crap that is written about us, that's the main thing. And we respect our space, we're independent spirits."

Zeta-Jones went on to explain that she and Douglas are "very similar," having been born on the same day, 25 years apart. "We're not afraid to be verbal, to express ourselves. I wear everything on my sleeve and so does he, which is good," she added.
The pair met at a film festival in 1998, and began dating shortly after. They got engaged the following year and tied the knot in November 2000. They share two children: son Dylan, 25, and daughter Carys, 22. Douglas also has an older son, Cameron, 46, from a previous marriage.
