People Compare Melania Trump’s Signature to Her Husband’s in Letter to Putin
The First Lady of the United States had her letter delivered to the Russian leader ahead of his meeting with her husband in Alaska last Friday. The U.S.-Russia summit was the first since June 2021.
First Lady Melania Trump penned a peace letter to President Vladimir Putin, advocating for the children caught in the middle of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The message was hand-delivered by President Donald Trump to Putin ahead of their meeting for peace talks.

The summit took place on Friday, August 15, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. As soon as he received the letter, Putin began reading it as American and Russian delegates looked on.

"Dear President Putin," Melania wrote. "Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation's rustic countryside or a magnificent city-center. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger."

She continued: "As parents, it is our duty to nurture the next generation's hope. As leaders, the responsibility to sustain our children extends beyond the comfort of a few. Undeniably, we must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all – so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded."

Melania added that a "simple yet profound concept" is that each generation's descendants must begin their lives with "a purity — an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology."

She continued advocating for the protection of children and future generations across the globe and signed off with the call to action, "It is time." The letter soon made its rounds online; however, netizens zoomed in more on Melania's signature than her message.
"Donald and Melania's signatures are very similar," one person observed. "Wait..why do her and Donald have almost identical signatures?" another wondered.
"Google Melania Trump signature.... I think she taught him how to write...." a netizen joked. "Signature looks like trumps pubic scribble on the EPSTEIN letter," another wrote, referring to Trump's signature on a birthday letter he allegedly sent to Jeffrey Epstein.
Others doubted if Melania wrote the letter at all, as one reader said, "I am sure she never wrote this letter." Another added, "Definitely Orange man signed it, or just a Fake letter."
