Princess Catherine and Prince William’s Move to New Home Forced Two Families to Relocate: Report

News of the Duke and Duchess of Wales' relocation emerged this month; however, their plans are said to have disrupted the lives of two families who lived in cottages near their new home.

Prince William and Princess Catherine will soon be moving into what has been described as their "forever home." The couple is set to relocate to a 300-year-old eight-bedroom mansion named Forest Lodge, nestled within Windsor Great Park.

According to the Daily Mail, two families who lived in cottages next to Forest Lodge were asked to vacate the property earlier this summer. These homes, converted from Forest Lodge’s stables, were reportedly being rented out by the Crown Estate.

Apparently, the tenants received no formal eviction notices but have moved to similar housing elsewhere in the Great Park. "They were told to move out. I guess they were given somewhere else, but they were told they had to move," a source told the Daily Mail.

"They were not expecting it," the source continued. "Those houses are very close to the lodge, so they're not going to want any Tom, Dick or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there."

Princess Catherine and Prince William are currently living in Adelaide Cottage, where they have resided alongside their three children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — for the past three years. They are expected to move into Forest Lodge later this year.
