The President of the United States didn't hold back when he saw a photo of the country star as he named him an honoree for this year's Kennedy Center Honors.

In addition to Strait, the honorees include actor Sylvester Stallone, singer Gloria Gaynor, British actor Michael Crawford, and the rock band KISS. Strait was the first honoree announced on this year's list.
"This year, the board has selected a truly exceptional class of honorees, I mean, really exceptional," Trump began. "First is country music star, actor and producer George Strait. Great."
The president went on to list Strait's most notable accolades, including selling more than 120 million records worldwide, amassing 60 number-one hits, and producing 33 platinum-certified albums, "more than any other living American."
"He's believed by millions of people to just be as good as you can get, and he's beloved by hundreds of millions of people all over the world," Trump continued. "He's really something, and they call him the king of Country and we know him very well, George Strait."
As the audience applauded, a display of Strait's image was propped up. "Oh that looks nice," Trump said, reacting to the photo. "Good looking guy," he remarked, before joking, "I hope he still looks like that."
In addition to announcing the honorees, Trump shared that he will be hosting this year's Kennedy Honors ceremony. He also revealed that each recipient was personally approved by him, and that he turned down some suggestions because they were "too woke."
