Kelly Clarkson Postpones Las Vegas Residency amid Ex-husband’s Health Battle
The "Because of You" singer was met with support when she announced the troubling news on social media. The delay comes after she pushed opening night to the following weekend last month.
Kelly Clarkson is putting the well-being of her loved ones first. The talk show host announced on Instagram that she was postponing her Las Vegas residency, "Studio Sessions," due to a family emergency.

"Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas," Kelly began. "While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them."
Clarkson's ex-husband is Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children: River Rose, 11, and Remington Alexander, 9. The pair were married from October 2013 to June 2020, when Kelly filed for divorce. Their split was finalized in March 2022.

"I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding," she wrote. Fans quickly filled her comments section with messages of support.
"Family always comes first, Kelly. Take the time you need ❤️," one person wrote. "What an incredible human being you are!!! Sincerely!!" another gushed.
"Those kids need you more than we do! Go be the best momma! Best wishes to all involved ❤️🙏," a third said. "Priorities ❤️ Sending love to you and your family," singer Debbie Gibson added.
Clarkson's postponement comes after she opened her residency just over a week after the original opening date. At the time, she attributed the delay to straining her voice during prep and rehearsals. Sources close to the singer said she was also dealing with "hidden battles."
