Mariska Hargitay Joined by Husband and Son on ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Set

The longtime alum of the NBC drama recently started filming the 27th season of the series. The sighting comes after she made her directorial debut, releasing a documentary about her mother's life.

Mariska Hargitay is reprising her role once more, returning as the fan-favorite Olivia Benson on "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit." The show, along with its first predecessor, "Law and Order," was officially renewed for the 2025-2026 season in May.

Mariska was spotted hard at work on set on Wednesday, July 30, in New York City. The actress was also joined by her husband, Peter Hermann, and her eldest son, August Miklos Friedrich Hermann.

Mariska looked ready to serve justice in a signature Olivia Benson outfit, sporting a fitted short-sleeve top tucked into high-waisted pants with a black belt, paired with black heeled boots.

August kept it casual in a plain white T-shirt with dark blue shorts and white sneakers. Peter also opted for a relaxed look, wearing a black T-shirt and black shorts, paired with beige sandals. He also carried a tote bag and a hat.

Mariska's appearance with her family comes after she released her documentary, "My Mom, Jayne," chronicling the life of the late Hollywood icon Jayne Mansfield. Jayne rose to fame as an actress and Playboy Playmate.

She unfortunately died in 1967 at the age of 34, when Mariska was just three years old. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May of this year and was also featured at the Tribeca Film Festival the following month.
