Rapper Kevin Gates's Wife Files for Divorce After Nine Years of Marriage

The longtime couple's split comes just ten months shy of what would have been their wedding anniversary. The "Me Too" singer has reportedly declined to comment on the news.

Rapper Kevin Gates's spouse, Dreka Gates, filed for the dissolution of their marriage on July 30, 2025, after being married for nine years.

Dreka, an entrepreneur, listed the date of separation as July 10, citing that their union ended due to "irreconcilable differences." She is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the now-estranged couple's two younger children, Islah, 12, and Khaza Gates, 11.

In addition, the mother of two is requesting spousal support, but checked the box to prevent the court from granting Kevin, who "unfortunately" declined to comment on the split, spousal support. It remains unclear whether the pair has a prenuptial agreement in place.

Their divorce comes just ten months shy of what would've been their tenth wedding anniversary. The duo wed in October 2015. Their split also comes just months after news that Kevin and influencer, Brittany Renner, had divorced after being married for 52 days.

According to Brittany, the two tied the knot in April 2025 and parted ways in May, adding that she had no regrets for how things panned out and that she is at peace with the outcome. It's reportedly unclear whether her marriage to Kevin was official.
