The late Disney star appears in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo on Adam Sandler's new film, "Happy Gilmore 2" — a subtle nod that has warmed the hearts of many.
Cameron Boyce's mother, Libby Boyce, is thankful that her son's memory remains alive. The young star, who tragically died at age 20 in July 2019, appeared on "Happy Gilmore 2," a sequel to the original 1996 film.

During the scene in question, Adam Sandler's character, Happy, walks up to a check-in booth with his clubs in hand. As he approaches, the person at the booth can be seen watching a show on a CRT TV, with Cameron on the screen.
It appears to be an episode from "Jessie," the Disney sitcom in which Cameron played Luke Ross throughout all four seasons. After seeing her son's cameo in "Happy Gilmore 2," his mother took to Instagram to express her appreciation.
"Adam and Cameron talked quite a bit in the days leading up to his death. Cameron was supposed to be in Hubies Halloween and they were strategizing," Libby wrote, referencing Adam's 2020 horror-comedy, "Hubie Halloween."
"They had a bond I think related to being authentic, funny and just keeping it real. Adam always finds a way to keep Cams memory alive which warms our heart.💜," Libby penned.

When asked about what went into Cameron's appearance in the movie, Adam responded, "Love that kid. He was one of the sweetest persons I've ever met — just constantly in a good mood, constantly great energy, loving to everybody."
Adam said Cameron "felt like a family member" when they were shooting "Grown Ups." The pair played father-son duo Lenny and Keithie Feder in the film and the sequel.

"Of course, we were going to shoot with Cameron on 'Hubie Halloween,' and we were getting ready to have a great time together, and we lost him. We think of him all the time," Adam explained.
He continued, "This was just a moment where we were like, 'What should we throw on the TV?' We said, 'Might as well throw Cameron in there. He's the man. Keep him part of our family.' And so that's why we did it."
