Charisma Carpenter Steps Out in Rare NYC Outing
The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum was recently seen enjoying a stroll with her dog in the Big Apple. The rare appearance comes after she expressed her hopes to revive her role in the cult-classic reboot.
Charisma Carpenter stepped out for a walk with her adorable pup on Thursday, July 24, in East Village, New York City. The outing marked the actress's first public appearance in several months.

She wore a loose, vintage-style graphic T-shirt tucked into wide-leg blue jeans. Her long, wavy hair was down and parted to the side, and she finished the look with oversized sunglasses, white sneakers, and a crossbody phone pouch.
The 55-year-old's white, furry friend appeared to be in good spirits, walking beside her while tied to a blue leash. At the time she was photographed, Carpenter appeared to be preoccupied with a phone call.

Her appearance comes after Deadline reported that Hulu is nearing a pilot order for a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reboot, with Sarah Michelle Gellar expected to reprise her role as the titular Buffy Summers. The news broke in early February this year.
Carpenter played Cordelia Chase in the original series during its first three seasons and went on to portray the same role in the spinoff show, "Angel."

After several seasons in the spinoff, however, her character was written out of both shows — Cordelia dies in "Angel" and no longer appears in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" after season three.
Speaking about the reboot, she said, "I am so excited for fans, and I know it will be fantastic because of who's involved. To see this actually happen for the fans makes me thrilled. I am so hopeful to be included, for Cordelia to be a part of this new iteration."

Of Cordelia's possible resurrection, she remarked, "I don't know really what to make of it. I'm sure there are caveats — Cordelia died on Angel not on Buffy."
"I don't know what that means for Cordelia specifically — but I'm hopeful that it includes Cordelia obviously, it would be a dream to be included, and it would just be so poetic for that to occur, and for it to occur with this group," she added.
