Roche died on July 14, 2025, according to multiple reports. Per The Sun, Roche had been packing for a trip with friends when she was discovered by her mother and sister. A firearm was found close to her at the property.
The Wiltshire and Swindon coroner's court has opened an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her death, which has been adjourned until October 25, 2025.
Local coroner Grant Davies revealed to the outlet that police "have deemed the death as non-suspicious and there was no third-party involvement." A family spokesperson told the same publication that she "will be sorely missed."

Roche was studying English Literature at Durham University at the time of her death. An obituary published in the Yorkshire Post on Saturday, July 19, reads in part:
"Roche, Rosie Jeanne Burke, Died on Monday 14th July 2025. Darling daughter of Hugh and Pippa, incredible sister to Archie and Agatha, Granddaughter to Derek and Rae Long. Private family funeral."
Neither Prince Harry nor Prince William have commented on the death of their cousin. It is unclear whether any of the Royals will join in the private family funeral to be held for Roche.
