Lindsey Vonn’s Younger Sister Swoops In Amid Wardrobe Malfunction at ESPYS

The alpine ski racer wore a daring dress to the ESPYs red carpet this year, where she had a slight wardrobe mishap. Thankfully, her younger sibling came to the rescue.

Lindsey Vonn attended the 2025 Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly (ESPY) Awards on Wednesday, July 16. The prestigious ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre, where she was joined by her younger sister, Karin Kildow.

Vonn wore a strapless, deep burgundy gown with a dramatic thigh-high slit that revealed matching bikini-style bottoms. She paired the bold dress with plum platform heels, a black clutch, and minimal gold jewelry, finishing the look with her hair styled in wet, beachy waves.

Beside her, Kildow donned a matching two-piece set covered in sparkling silver embellishments. Her look featured a sleeveless crop top and a long, fitted skirt that showed off her toned midriff.

She styled her blonde hair in loose waves and accessorized with a gold watch and statement rings. The pair stopped for photos as they arrived; however, as Vonn posed for pictures on the red carpet, a gust of wind blew through the slit of her dress, revealing her underwear.

Kildow quickly jumped in front of her sister to help cover up again. Later in the evening, Vonn changed into another gown to present an award. She was nominated in the Best Comeback Athlete category, but the award ultimately went to artistic gymnast Sunisa Lee.
