
Michael Madsen's Official Cause of Death Revealed Two Weeks After His Passing
The veteran Hollywood star was best known for appearing in films by famed director Quentin Tarantino, including "Reservoir Dogs" and "Kill Bill: Vol. 2."
Reports recently revealed that actor Michael Madsen died from cardiac arrest in documents obtained by TMZ. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner determined that several issues caused his cardiac arrest.
This includes cardiomyopathy, chronic alcoholism, and coronary artery disease. In addition to this, another condition called thromboembolic disease was also a factor in the star's death. It is described as blood clots that obstruct vessels or arteries.
The recent updates come just two weeks after Madsen was reported dead on July 3, 2025. He was discovered unresponsive by law enforcement officers at his Malibu home after responding to a 911 call to his residence.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff Department spokesperson disclosed that the Chicago-born native was pronounced dead at the scene.
Madsen was well-known for his body of work on the big screen. He collaborated with the critically acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino on several projects, including "Reservoir Dogs," Kill Bill: Volume 2," "The Hateful Eight," and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
