'Life After Death' Star Tyler Henry Shares Update After Brain Surgery
The celebrity medium underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor over a month ago and has been recovering smoothly. He previously underwent a similar procedure as a teen.
Tyler Henry is "doing much better" after doctors successfully removed a non-cancerous, fluid-filled cyst near the center of his brain in May of this year.

"I'm very lucky. I was dealing with something called hydrocephalus, which is basically fluid being stuck around the brain and causing inflammation," the clairvoyant told E! News. Henry noted that the probability of his tumor is one in three million.
In light of that statistic, he joked, "I should play the lottery." The "Hollywood Medium" alum first shared that his surgery was a success in a May 15 Instagram post shortly after the procedure. He uploaded a photo of himself post-op, smiling while lying in his hospital bed.
"Brain surgery was a success! Great prognosis, incredible staff, and I feel so thankful to be surrounded by my family. I'll be on bedrest for a month and look forward to getting back to doing readings," he wrote at the time.
Now, over a month later, he said he's been amazed at how quickly he has recovered. "I was worried with anything related to the brain that it might affect my ability, but I found that not having brain inflammation actually made things a lot clearer," he reflected.

It's not the first time Henry dealt with a brain tumor. "I had been diagnosed previously with some form of a mass in the back of my brain," he recalled
"When I was 18, I underwent brain surgery—then endoscopically—and it took about 10 years for it come back after it resealed," he continued, adding that this recent tumor was "nothing new necessarily."
Henry also revealed that he and his partner, Clint Goodwin, tied the knot at the Beverly Courthouse prior to his surgery, "just in case anything went wrong." Goodwin supported Henry throughout the health scare, and remains at his side as he recovers.
