Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos are set to tie the knot in Venice, Italy, during a multi-day celebration from June 24 to 26, 2025. While the billionaire couple's wedding is anticipated to draw some of the world's most influential figures, not everyone is celebrating.

Residents across Venice have begun protesting what many view as yet another strain on the city's already overwhelmed infrastructure. With the daily influx of tourists already placing pressure on local resources, the upcoming high-profile wedding is expected to intensify congestion and disruption.
Signs of discontent have surfaced throughout the city, with posters, banners, and flyers expressing opposition to the lavish affair. One poster features the name "Bezos" crossed out in red, while another reads "No Space For Bezos," inviting citizens to a public assembly scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2025.
Despite growing unrest, preparations for the wedding appear to be moving forward as planned. The guest list reportedly includes the likes of the Kardashians, Eva Longoria, and Katy Perry to name a few.
