
Chris Robinson, ‘General Hospital’ Star, Dies at 86
The Hollywood veteran passed away peacefully earlier this week in his Arizona home. He is survived by his wife, his eight sons, and his five grandchildren.
Chris Robinson, a longtime star of the beloved daytime soap opera "General Hospital," died peacefully in his sleep in his ranch, near Sedona, Arizona, on June 9, 2025. He was 86.

An announcement shared by a good friend of the actor revealed, "He had been in heart failure for some time, and is his official cause of death."
Robinson's career spanned several decades, beginning in 1957, with his final onscreen appearance being in the 2022 adventure comedy, "Just for A Week."
He began as a stunt actor before transitioning to guest roles in various TV series, including "Gun Smoke," "Hawaiian Eye," and "Hogan's Heroes."
The Florida native received his big break when he was cast as Dr. Rick Webber in ABC's "General Hospital"—a role he would hold for over a thousand episodes until his exit in 2013.
Robinson was also known for portraying Jack Hamilton in "The Bold and The Beautiful" from 1992 to 2005. Upon hearing of his passing, the "General Hospital" official X account also paid tribute to Robinson in a heartfelt post.
"General Hospital's enduring legacy owes a debt of gratitude to Chris Robinson and his portrayal of Dr. Rick Webber. Our hearts go out to his family and friends as they mourn their loss. May he rest in peace," the post read.
The television star is survived by his wife of 14 years, Jacquie Shane-Robinson, his sons: Shane, Coby, Christian, Taylor, Christopher Robinson, Christopher Lance, and adopted son Robb Walker. The actor also had 5 grandchildren: Ivy, Ava, Davey, Brooks and Knox.
