They then made their way to Rideau Hall, the official residence of the Governor General of Canada. There, they participated in a ceremonial tree planting, adding a Blue-Beech to the collection of more than 150 commemorative trees on the grounds. Notably, four trees had been planted by King Charles in his former role as Prince of Wales, and five by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Following the tree planting, King Charles and Queen Camilla met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and his wife, Diana Fox Carney. Shortly after, Queen Camilla was sworn in as a member of the Canadian Privy Council in a formal ceremony attended by the King, the Governor General, and the Prime Minister.
