Fans React to Brooklyn Beckham Missing His Father’s Birthday Dinner

David Beckham wrapped up his birthday week on Sunday, May 4, with an intimate family dinner. Most of the former football player's children were present—except his eldest son—and fans have shared their views on the situation.

About a month ago, TMZ reported an alleged rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his younger brother, Romeo, over a woman.

Romeo is currently in a relationship with Kim Turnbull. The pair were first linked during the summer of 2024 and went official with their relationship that November with red carpet appearances.

Brooklyn and Kim were romantically involved several years before, but this isn't the source of the tension. In fact, it's said to be water under the bridge.

Brooklyn is now married to actress Nicola Peltz. The reported reason he and Romeo are no longer on speaking terms is that Brooklyn doesn't approve of the relationship.

He reportedly feels protective of his little brother and is suspicious of Kim's intentions behind dating Romeo—as is Nicola.

Moreover, Brooklyn and Nicola have been notably absent at events where the entire family was in attendance, as the couple allegedly refuses to be in the same space as Kim.

Since the reported feud began last December, it's said it has only intensified—especially as David and Victoria are supportive of Romeo's relationship with the model.

Last week, David kicked off his birthday celebrations early with several parties leading into the weekend. The businessman even held a birthday dinner with immediate and extended family on Sunday, May 4.

Brooklyn and Nicola were absent at them all. David and Victoria shared photos from the Sunday dinner, and fans took to the comments to share their views.

Some blamed Nicola for Brooklyn's non-attendance. "Nicola has done to Brooklyn what Megan did to Harry. So sad. I really hope he comes to his senses," one person wrote.

"Pity no Brooklyn, under the thumb of his missus," another said. "Really sad that Brooklyn isn't there, hope he sees sense. My guess is it's his new wife that has an issue 😭 x," a commenter speculated.

Others disapproved of Brooklyn choosing to stay away from his family, as one exclaimed, "Why is @brooklynpeltzbeckham such a diva now! Missing your dads 50th 😳😳😳."

Another echoed the disapproval, "So disappointed in Brooklyn. He's been brought up better than that."
