The reality star was diagnosed with stage four melanoma—a type of cancer she has been dealing with on and off since 2022—on February 12 of this year. After experiencing debilitating headaches for weeks, she reached the point of needing hospitalization.

Doctors performed an MRI and a CT scan, and found several tumors on her brain, which they believed had been growing for at least six months.

"Two of the tumors will be removed today," she shared at the time, adding that the remaining, smaller growths would be treated with radiation at a later date. Unfortunately, the cancer metastasized from her brain to her lungs.

It's been over two months since then. In the new video update, Mellencamp had just completed her scans. Doctors told her that the tumors in her brain and lungs had significantly "shrunk or disappeared."

"I have 6ish more weeks of immunotherapy and doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course," she wrote in her caption.

The mom of three is feeling positive about the trajectory of her journey, and her doctors share the same confidence. Things are looking up.
