Mel B's Birthday Tribute to Middle Child Whom She Shares with Eddie Murphy

The English singer is a mother of three kids from different relationships. She has opened up about raising her children after enduring abuse.
Mel B recently celebrated her child Angel Murphy Brown's birthday on her Instagram. She posted childhood photos alongside a heartfelt message.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY ANGEL !!! I cannot believe youre 18 You are so special and so bright and so talented!! [sic]," Mel B captioned her post. The songwriter expressed pride in watching Angel, who identifies as a male, grow up and become the person he is today.
According to the doting mom, Angel will always be her baby and her wish for him is to keep chasing his dreams and remain kind to everyone.
Mel B welcomed Angel with her ex-partner, Eddie Murphy, in April 2007 following their whirlwind romance. However, the couple's relationship had already soured before their child's birth. While pregnant, Eddie reportedly remarked about the unborn baby. Mel B revealed:
"'He said: "I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir.'"
Naturally, the expectant mother was hurt by the comments but insisted their child was planned. A DNA test later proved that the actor indeed fathered Angel.
In addition to her middle child, Mel B, who has been married twice, shares her eldest child Phoenix Gulzar, born in February 1999, with her first husband, dancer Jimmy Gulzar. The couple was married from 1998 to 2000.
The Spice Girls star later remarried with film producer Stephen Belafonte in 2007. The couple welcomed their only child together, Madison Belafonte. However, after ten years of marriage, in which she disclosed that she was physically, emotionally, and financially abused, Mel B filed for divorce. It was finalized in 2017.
Years later, the mother of three divulged that her children have witnessed her being mistreated and so she has taught them to be aware of the dangers of such relationships. They have many conversations in their household and she cautioned them not to be pushovers but to be kind.
