Heidi Klum Poses with Son Henry for First Magazine Cover Together: 'I'm So Proud of You'
The mother-son duo posed for a stylish photo shoot and opened up in a joint interview about family, fashion, and what success means to them.
Heidi Klum and her son, Henry Samuel, just had a major mother-son moment — their first magazine cover together.
The two appear on the January 2025 cover of Elle Germany, and Klum shared the news on Instagram with a heartfelt caption introducing her 20-year-old son to fans.
“Who is this handsome man next to me? May I introduce to you my handsome, smart, funny, kind, loving son @henryguenthersamuel. I’m so proud of you! I love you, Mom ❤️❤️❤️” she wrote.
Behind the Scenes of Their First Shoot Together
The cover and accompanying shoot, photographed by Rankin, feature Klum and Samuel dressed in sleek, complementary looks.
In the behind-the-scenes video Klum posted, she’s seen wearing a black turtleneck and silk skirt while Samuel stands beside her in a sharp white suit and bowtie.
In other shots, they swap into deep teal tones — Klum in a strapless, feathered dress and Samuel in a velvet suit, dancing and smiling together on set.
The Elle shoot also marks the launch of their joint campaign for the luxury German fashion brand Aigner.
A Comfortable and Familiar First
In their Elle interview, Klum and Samuel talked about how natural the day felt. “The whole day was very relaxed; I had a great time with you all,” Samuel said.
Klum added that working with Rankin made the experience feel personal. “I’ve known Rankin for 22 years now. He’s known Henry his whole life… it felt especially familiar with Rankin.”
Advice, Laughter, and a Look Back
Klum reflected on how the modeling world has changed since her career began in 1992: “It’s become more versatile. Even women in their prime, like myself, can still be on the covers of magazines like Elle. That wasn’t really possible before.” She also noted more visibility for curvy and plus-size models.
When asked about modeling tips from his mom, Samuel said, “To pay attention to my posture. I like video games and used to constantly sit hunched over the computer. But my mother also instilled a lot in me regarding self-confidence.”
Klum shared that the best advice she’s followed in her own life is to trust her instincts, adding, “If I had listened to others, I would never have gotten anywhere.”
They also opened up about a light moment when Klum brought up an early career memory. She recalled a photographer yelling at her during a bridal magazine shoot and telling her she had a “terrible laugh.”
“I started to cry,” she said. But instead of quitting, she practiced laughing in the mirror. “And today, people associate my laugh with me.”
Samuel quickly jumped in: “You’re not exactly good at hiding your laughter either…”
Defining Success
For Heidi Klum, success today looks different than it did early in her career. “I’m still a hustler and would rather say yes to a job than no. Not having to work anymore and being able to spend time with my family is a real luxury and a sign of success for me,” she revealed.
Samuel added, “Of course, success is subjective, but for me, success means being happy, having loved ones around me, and feeling loved.”
