Jamie Lee Curtis is switching things up — and she’s not doing it quietly. In the span of just days, the actress surprised fans with back-to-back transformations across social media.
Jamie Lee Curtis is having a major hair moment — and fans are here for it. In the span of just a few days, the Oscar-winning actress debuted not one, but two dramatic new looks, reminding everyone that reinvention can be fun at any age.

On November 22, Curtis posted a striking selfie on Instagram that revealed a rich brunette hairstyle, a striking shift from her usual silver-gray look.
In the caption, she introduced the character behind the change: “HELEN in #ellamccay the NEW COMEDY from #jameslbrooks is as described by Jim, ‘Helen it's a lion tamer who realizes halfway through the act that there's no cage.’ Enough said. We ALL need a Helen in our corner. OPENS IN THEATERS 12/12.”
Not long after that post, Curtis debuted a completely different hairstyle in another Instagram update, this time as part of the promotional rollout for the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series "Scarpetta."
In a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos, Curtis appeared in one photo wearing a blonde, curly lob, styled with soft waves and paired with a red plunging jumpsuit. In another, she sports a shorter blonde do.

Curtis stars in "Scarpetta" alongside Nicole Kidman, who plays forensic pathologist Dr. Kay Scarpetta. In the series based on Patricia Cornwell's bestselling crime novels, Curtis plays Dorothy Scarpetta, Kay’s sister.
These two dramatically different styles — deep brunette and soft blonde — were each tied to major acting roles. But Curtis has also been open about how hair, and finding the right look, can have personal meaning outside of her work.
In a candid April 2025 Instagram post, she reflected on returning to her favorite haircut after growing it out for a job.
She wrote: “I have been working for the last year and a half and needed to grow out my hair for one of my jobs. I did fine and obviously it's not a big deal but when I have my hair cut the way I love it and the way it suits me, it gives me the freedom to exist with no make up and very little fuss. It gives me a confidence that I never had in my life... and I woke up this morning and thought, 'OK, now I look like me.’”
Whether brunette for a film, blonde for a series, or back to her go-to silver crop, Jamie Lee Curtis continues to embrace change — always with confidence, character, and her own sense of freedom.
