Jennifer Aniston Opens up About Her Boyfriend Jim Curtis for the First Time
The "We're The Millers" star, who is known to keep her personal life relatively private, spoke openly about her new beau in a recent interview. The pair sparked romance rumors earlier this year when they were spotted vacationing in Spain.
Jennifer Aniston is opening up — just a little. After initially shying away from the subject, the longtime actress recently gushed about the new special person in her life: her boyfriend, Jim Curtis.
"Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does," Aniston told Elle of the hypnotherapist for the publication's December cover story.
"He's quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people. He's very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity. It's a beautiful thing to commit your life to," she said.
Curtis, a former Wall Street trader, is a life coach with over 20 years of experience in the wellness industry, according to his official website. He has held roles at WebMD, Everyday Health, and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is the author of two self-help books.
His expertise is actually part of what fostered a connection between him and Aniston. The pair were first romantically linked in July when they were seen vacationing in Mallorca alongside Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka.
"They've been seeing each other for a few months now," a source told People at the time. "They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends. Jen had read his book and was familiar with his work. She's really into self-help and wellness. They are dating, but it's still casual."
The couple has since been spotted out together on multiple occasions, including the season 4 premiere of Aniston's drama series, "The Morning Show," this past September. Curtis did not walk the red carpet alongside Aniston, but he was seen at the event supporting her.
"They do everything together, they are always together, and if they have to be away from each other, they are on the phone all the time," a source told the Daily Mail in late August. "They are so hot and heavy, it's crazy."
"The amazing thing is that they click really well because they have the same interests like meditation, yoga, therapy and dogs," the source added. Curtis has also been getting along well with Aniston's inner circle.
"Jim's great. Her close friends love him. He's amazing to be around," an insider told People. "He has this really calm and secure energy. Jen loves it." The source added that Curtis has helped Aniston, who is "so used to going 100 miles an hour while balancing projects," slow down and turn inward.
He has also been quite supportive, as Aniston can be pretty hard on herself. "He supports her in a way that feels new," the source said. Earlier this month, on November 3, the couple went Instagram-official when Aniston posted a sweet tribute, celebrating Curtis's birthday.
The actress posted a black-and-white photo that showed her hugging her beau from behind as he accepted the embrace. "Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️," she wrote in the caption.
