Jennifer Lopez Speaks Out About Bad Bunny and His Upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show
The "On the Floor" hitmaker — who previously shared the Super Bowl stage with the Puerto Rican rapper — praised his musical talent and touched on whether she might join him again.
Jennifer Lopez is one of Bad Bunny's biggest supporters — and it shows. The 56-year-old singer recently appeared on the "Today" show to promote her new film, "Kiss of the Spider Woman," and shared her thoughts on the rapper headlining the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Host Craig Melvin noted that the pair performed together at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show. "We did!" Lopez exclaimed. "Me, Shakira, J Balvin — and we had an amazing time. It was a really cultural moment."

"I think he's about to blow everybody's mind. It's an introduction to some people," she added of Bad Bunny. "What do you make of the controversy?" Melvin then asked, referring to the mixed reactions sparked by Bad Bunny being named headliner.
The journalist vaguely explained that some people were against the idea. "But why? I don't understand that. He's one of the top artists in the world right now, probably the top," Lopez, who had been completely unaware of the criticism, said.

"It could be a lot of different people. That's the thing," she added. "I'm super excited for people to see him, who think that. I think they'll be pleasantly surprised because his music transcends language. It's amazing what he's done."
In a separate interview, Lopez was asked if she might join Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year. "If Bad Bunny would want me, I would, of course, love to be there. I support everything that he does. He is an amazing, one-of-a-kind artist," she replied.
The 31-year-old musician addressed the criticism he has received since the announcement during his opening monologue on Saturday Night Live, part of which he delivered in Spanish. He closed it off with a playful tone in English, saying, "And, if you didn't understand what I just said, you have four months to learn!"
