The former Vice President of the United States was an honoree at the prestigious event and had all the support she needed with her husband at her side.
Kamala Harris attended the Legislative Conference Phoenix Awards Dinner on Saturday evening, September 27, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The veteran politician was joined by her husband and former Second Gentleman, Doug Emhoff.

Harris looked stunning in a burgundy, floor-length, off-the-shoulder gown by Sergio Hudson, fully embellished with sequins. Its fitted silhouette accentuated her figure, while the long sleeves balanced the neckline for an elegant effect.

She kept her accessories minimal, letting the gown shine, and styled her hair in soft, voluminous waves that framed her face beautifully. Beside her, Emhoff kept it traditional in a classic black suit, paired with a crisp white dress shirt and a sleek black tie.

He completed his look with polished black dress shoes and neatly groomed his salt-and-pepper hair. The 60-year-old supported his wife at the coveted event, hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, where she was honored with the CBC Body Award.
