Elon Musk's Daughter Vivian Wilson Attends Vogue Teen Summit in Black Ensemble, Speaks About Financial Independence
Vivian Wilson, the 21-year-old daughter of Elon Musk, used her appearance at the 2025 Teen Vogue Summit to spotlight her independence, addressing misconceptions about her finances while making a bold fashion statement in an all-black look.
Vivian Wilson is carving out her own identity, and making it clear that she's standing on her own two feet. She used the 2025 Teen Vogue Summit to make this clear, appearing on stage on September 20, 2025.

The 21-year-old daughter of Elon Musk and his ex-wife Justine Wilson spoke candidly about her independence. Addressing the common misconception that she has access to her father's enormous fortune, Vivian said, "I'm financially independent. I'm making money now."

For the panel appearance, Vivian opted for a sleek all-black outfit. She finished the look with a bold pendant necklace, while wearing her hair long and straight — a minimalist style that reflected her understated confidence.

Discussing the public's perception of her, she added, "People have a lot of assumptions, and you just kinda have to deal with that."
This is far from the first time Vivian has emphasized that she does not benefit financially from her father's staggering wealth. Earlier this month, in a profile with The Cut, she addressed the issue directly. "I don't have that inheritance," she told the magazine on September 2, 2025. "People assume I have a lot of money. I don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal."

Despite being estranged from Musk, Vivian made clear she has no interest in chasing the billionaire lifestyle. While acknowledging her father's financial position, she explained, "My father is unimaginably degrees of wealthy," but added that following that path was never her goal.
"I don't have a desire to be superrich," Vivian said. "I can afford food. I have friends, a shelter, and some expendable income, which is nice and much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles."
At the Teen Vogue Summit, her words underscored the message that she is focused on building a life on her own terms, wealth or no wealth.
