Adele Reportedly a Top Contender for 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show
Rumors are swirling around next year's Super Bowl halftime show, with Adele emerging as one of the frontrunners to headline the high-profile event in Santa Clara, California.
Adele is being considered for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, though sources say she has not yet been confirmed for the event, according to Page Six.
Speculation has been growing that the Grammy-winning singer could headline the show when the game takes place in Santa Clara, California, next February. Discussions are reportedly underway, but she is not the only artist in the mix. Other names circulating include Taylor Swift, a well-known Kansas City Chiefs supporter, and Miley Cyrus, who has yet to perform on the Super Bowl stage.
Adele, whose fiancé Rich Paul is a prominent sports agent, has attended the game before as a fan. While performing in Las Vegas in 2024, she joked with the audience about her experience in the stands the year prior, saying, "Last year I went, obviously I didn't go for the football at all. I went to watch Rihanna."
Despite the ongoing speculation, one source close to the show stressed that Adele has not been officially booked.
The "Hello" singer has addressed Super Bowl rumors in the past. She revealed to a Los Angeles crowd in 2016 that she declined an invitation to perform at the 2017 game.
At the time, both the NFL and sponsor Pepsi countered her claim, releasing a statement that no formal offer was ever made.
Meanwhile, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell recently fueled chatter about another possible headliner. Speaking on NBC's "Today," he praised Taylor Swift, saying, "She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time."
Pressed for further details, Goodell would only add, "I can’t tell you anything about that… It's a maybe." He also noted, "I'm waiting on my friend Jay-Z to be able to help me… It's in his hands."
