
Meghan Markle Cheers on Prince Harry from Afar During His U.K. Visit
The Duke of Sussex is currently on a planned visit to the U.K. for several charity engagements. His wife and children did not join him, but they are cheering him on from home.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, may be thousands of miles away from her husband, Prince Harry, but she is rooting for him as he pursues causes close to his heart in his home country. The former actress highlighted a heartwarming viral moment he recently shared with a child.

She reposted a TikTok video, originally shared by Hello! magazine’s official account, to her Instagram Stories. The clip showed Prince Harry pretending to fence with Gwen Foster, a nine-year-old girl living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

The pair playfully went at it with yellow swords made of balloons. Meghan added a pair of pink heart emojis over the touching moment, which was captured during the 20th Annual WellChild Awards on Monday, September 8, in London.

WellChild is a national U.K. charity that benefits seriously ill children, which Harry has supported since 2007. At this year's awards ceremony, Gwen was honored with the Inspirational Child Award, recognizing her zest for life despite her daily health challenges.
Prince Harry also interacted with several other children living with illnesses and disabilities, who also received special honors during the WellChild Awards. Following his appearance at the ceremony, the Duke visited the Community Recording Studio in St. Ann's.
