Lil Nas X Opened up About the past ‘Difficult Years’ Prior to Arrest
The "Old Town Road" rapper was recently hospitalized after what is believed to be a possible overdose. Shortly after, he was arrested on allegations of assaulting a police officer.
Lil Nas X has sparked widespread concern after displaying troubling behavior on the streets of Los Angeles during the early hours of Thursday morning, August 21. The musician was arrested following an alleged altercation with law enforcement.

Police had responded to calls about the singer walking naked through the streets of Los Angeles. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told PEOPLE that officers were dispatched just before 6 a.m. to Ventura Boulevard following reports of a "nude man in the street."
The spokesperson added that the suspect allegedly went on to "batter an officer, so he was booked for battery on a [peace officer]." Authorities were initially unable to identify the suspect; however, TMZ obtained footage of Nas strutting through the city at around 4 a.m. in his underwear and cowboy boots.
According to the outlet, officers informed paramedics that his actions may have been a result of a possible overdose. He was then taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been released and booked.

Several months prior to his arrest, Nas mentioned having a difficult past few years while he discussed new music. "These last few years were pretty difficult for me," he said in a video shared by a fan account on X. "They have been pretty difficult for me."
"I'm just now, like arriving to this place of feeling confidence in myself and what I'm doing," he continued. "And I'm trying to make sure I put intention towards my music and my vision and the creativity of it all."
Last November, he announced that he was working on a new album titled "Dreamboy" and released a single of the same name in March of this year. The following month, he faced a health scare after being hospitalized when lost control of the right side of his face.
In a since-deleted Instagram video, Nas assured his fans that he was doing okay, though he never revealed his diagnosis. As of this writing, his Instagram page only consists of posts from Wednesday, August 20, recorded inside what appears to be a messy home, which were ultimately followed by his arrest.
