Kristin Cavallari's Ex, Jay Cutler, Responds to Claim That She Hasn't Gotten a Penny in Their Divorce
NFL player Jay Cutler is setting the record straight after Kristin Cavallari claimed she walked away from their divorce without any financial support.
Kristin Cavallari's ex-husband, Jay Cutler, has publicly pushed back against her statement that she has "never gotten a penny" from him since their split.
The former NFL quarterback responded on the Aug. 14 episode of his "Take It Outside" podcast, calling her assertion both inaccurate and damaging.
"I think it's reckless," Cutler said. "I think it's borderline slander to insinuate that there was zero dollars split during the marriage that each side got. It's insanity and it's completely false, completely untrue."
While the 42-year-old did not disclose the exact details of their financial settlement, he insisted her claim was misleading. "I can guarantee you it's definitely not zero dollars," he added. "I hate that I even have to address it, honestly, but it gets to a point where it's just untrue."
Cavallari, 38, made the original remark during the June 18 episode of her E! series "Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour." Reflecting on her 2020 breakup from Cutler, with whom she shares three children — Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9 — she denied that she received any financial benefit from their marriage or divorce.
"I have never gotten a penny from my ex-husband," she said. "I didn't get any money from our divorce, so let's just clear that up."
The couple's divorce was finalized in 2022 after more than a decade together.
