Brooklyn Beckham Reportedly Takes a Dig at David and Victoria During Speech at Nicola Peltz's Vow Renewal
Brooklyn Beckham's emotional vow renewal speech for Nicola Peltz has sparked fresh speculation about tensions within the Beckham family after he praised his wife's relatives but made no mention of his own parents.
Brooklyn Beckham delivered a heartfelt speech during his vow renewal ceremony with Nicola Peltz on August 2, 2025 ,reportedly focusing his words on his wife and her family. The celebration, attended by around 200 guests, took place at the estate of Nicola's father, billionaire Nelson Peltz.
A source close to the couple said, "He spoke from the heart — and at the centre of his heart is Nicola who he loves very dearly, but also the Peltz family who have really stuck by his side. He wanted to recognise them all, and was determined to do them all justice."
The tribute was directed toward Nicola's parents, Nelson and Claudia, but insiders noted that David, 50, and Victoria Beckham, 51, were not acknowledged in the same way, seemingly take a dig at his own parents.
During the ceremony, Nicola, 30, wore a reimagined version of her mother's wedding gown, with her father presiding over the proceedings.
The speech has reportedly deepened concerns among friends of the Beckham family, who worry that Brooklyn's recent behavior is "desperately out of character." Some believe Nicola has played a role in distancing him not only from his parents but also from his extended relatives and long-time friends.
Members of the wider Beckham clan — including Brooklyn's siblings Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins — were absent from the U.S. ceremony. The couple's decision to share dozens of photos from the event on social media has also drawn criticism, suggesting the lavish display felt like a slight toward the Beckham side of the family.
According to Page Six, Brooklyn has told his family that he does not want contact and has stopped responding to their messages. His distance from Victoria, David, and his siblings marks a striking shift from the close-knit dynamic he once shared with them.
