The ceremony came after his family led a funeral procession through the streets of his hometown of Birmingham, where thousands of fans turned up to pay their respects. Shortly after, the Black Sabbath frontman's official cause of death was revealed.
According to the death certificate obtained by The New York Times and The Sun, Ozzy died of "acute myocardial infarction" and "out-of-hospital cardiac arrest." The certificate lists coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction as the "joint causes."
In a nod to musical impact, it also lists his occupation as "Songwriter, Performer, and Rock Legend." On July 22, the singer was airlifted from his home to Harefield Hospital in the London suburb of Uxbridge.

"It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the family said at the time. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
