
Kelly Osbourne Says She ‘Won’t Be Ok for a While’ After Laying Dad Ozzy to Rest
The TV personality recently took to social media to express deep gratitude for the overwhelming support that she and her family received following her father's passing.
Kelly Osbourne is mourning the monumental loss of her father, music icon Ozzy Osbourne. The legendary rocker died on the morning of July 22, 2025. On the day of his funeral, July 30, his family led a cortège in his hometown of Birmingham.

Thousands of fans attended the procession to pay their respects. Kelly was at her mother Sharon's side throughout, until they departed for a private family ceremony, where they said their final goodbyes.

One week after the funeral, on Monday, August 4, Kelly shared a message to her Instagram Stories, set to Ozzy's 1995 song, "See You on the Other Side."

"I've sat down to write this a hundred times and still don't know if the words will ever feel like enough.. but from the bottom of my heart, thank you," she began.

"The love, support, and beautiful messages I've received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life. Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain," she continued.

"Grief is a strange thing-it sneaks up on you in waves - I will not be ok for a while-but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I'm holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind," Kelly reflected.

She then concluded: "Thank you for being there. I love you all so much. Kelly #BirminghamForever #OzzyForever." Ozzy's passing came just weeks after Kelly got engaged to her partner, Sid Wilson.

The Slipknot turntablist popped the big question at Ozzy's farewell concert at Aston Villa Park, Birmingham, on July 5, in front of Kelly's parents. Sid was also present at the cortège to support his fiancée. Much like everyone around him, the musician was also visibly affected by Ozzy's passing.
