On July 29, while appearing on the "TODAY" show, host Craig Melvin asked them directly, "Are you two an item?" Neeson responded with surprise, "Craig!" Anderson followed with a baffled, "What? I don't understand the question."

Neeson then clarified that he met Anderson for the first time on set and explained that the connection came naturally while they were working together. "We discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry — as two actors," he said.

Anderson agreed, while Neeson added, "It's like, 'Oh, this is nice. Let's not mold this. Let's just let it breathe.' And that's what we did."
