Elton John Reportedly Weighs in on Beckham Family Feud

The "Sacrifice" singer was recently spotted having lunch with his godson, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, sparking rumors that he may be acting as a mediator amid the ongoing family rift.

Elton John recently invited Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz for lunch in Saint-Tropez. The trio was joined by Elton's husband, David Furnish, for the outing, where they enjoyed a meal and a chat at a lavish beach club on the French Riviera.

Images obtained by the Daily Mail show the group in good spirits as they sat around their table. According to a source who spoke to the publication, Elton spoke "briefly" about the rift between Brooklyn and his family.

The tension became apparent when Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent from David Beckham's birthday celebrations in May. According to multiple reports, the feud stemmed from Brooklyn's disapproval of his brother Romeo Beckham's relationship with Kim Turnbull.

It's understood that Brooklyn was allegedly suspicious of Kim's true intentions in dating Romeo. However, the family reportedly sided with Romeo and Kim — now separated — leading Brooklyn and Nicola to keep their distance.

"There is no side-taking as such; he simply adores his godson, and really has a laugh with Nicola who he thinks has a great sense of humour," the insider said of Elton's perspective on the matter.

"He wants to look after them in his role as 'spiritual adviser' as a godfather, it's a role he takes seriously. Elton and David think the situation is terribly sad, and has gently suggested to all involved that life is short — to patch things up," they continued.

The source added Elton is "adamant he doesn't want to stick his nose in" the feud. He simply "wants peace."
