Why Sharon Osbourne Might Bury Husband Ozzy in Garden at Home
The now-widowed wife of the Prince of Darkness announced her husband's death earlier this week. Now, sources close to her have expressed concern for her well-being amid funeral preparations.
Sharon Osbourne is mourning the loss of her husband of 43 years, iconic rocker Ozzy Osbourne. The Black Sabbath frontman died on the morning of Tuesday, July 22, 2025, leaving an indelible void in the rock community.

His wife and children announced his death in a joint statement published through several media outlets. "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the statement read.
"He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time," it concluded. Ozzy's death comes almost two weeks after his final concert in his hometown of Aston in Birmingham, on July 5.
The day before, on July 4, he had celebrated his 43rd wedding anniversary with Sharon. The "Children of the Grave" singer spent his last moments at Welders House, a 350-acre Buckinghamshire estate he and Sharon purchased in 1993.
Sources close to their family now suggest that Sharon might bury Ozzy in the gardens of the residence in an intimate family ceremony as she might be "too frail" to endure a large public service.
Further concerns have been raised for Sharon’s overall well-being. Though she has faced various health challenges over the years, those close to her fear that the emotional impact of Ozzy’s death may take a severe toll on her already fragile physical and mental health.

"Sharon is very, very fragile. She is so thin. She is not well. We are all terrified for her health at this point. This is the heaviest blow. Ozzy was her life. The whole point of her life was him," a source shared.
"They were each other's best friend. We don't know what she will do or how she will cope," they said.
