Ozzy Osbourne's Final Online Post Was a Tribute to Black Sabbath
The English singer-songwriter, who was dubbed the “Prince of Darkness,” recently held his farewell concert. His sisters shared that it was the last time they saw him.
Ozzy Osbourne took to Instagram on July 21, 2025, and posted a picture that showed the hallway along with a sign hanging by the door that reads: "Back to the Beginning: The Final Show."
The upload, which featured his song, "Mr Crowley" playing in the background, also included the names of members from the rock band Black Sabbath: Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, and Bill Ward. Osbourne didn't caption his post, which he shared just a day before he died at 76. He had long battled Parkinson's disease.
In the wake of the music star's death, his sisters, Jean Powell, 85, and Gillian Hemming, have since broken their silence in a joint interview. "We saw him in Birmingham the other week when he and the rest of the band were given the freedom of the city," said Powell.
"It was upsetting because he could not stand up straight, but he was still our John, still cracking the jokes. To us, he was our brother, not a celebrity, so it’s crazy to see the outpouring of love since his death was announced," she continued.
Meanwhile, Hemming shared, "We were proud as punch about him and everything he achieved," adding fame never went to Osbourne's head. "What the public saw of John was exactly what he was like in real life. It wasn’t an act," she stated.
