"He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods - a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I've ever met. I will miss him dearly. To Sharon and the family, I send my condolences and love. Elton xx," he wrote.

Sir Rod Stewart also shared a message for Osbourne, bidding farewell. "Bye, bye, Ozzy. Sleep well, my friend. I'll see you up there — later than sooner," Stewart penned.

Osbourne had reunited with the original members of Black Sabbath for his final show. "Love you @ozzyosbourne. All my aloha @sharonosbourne and ohana. So grateful. RIP," Momoa wrote.

Osbourne leaves behind a legacy that will endure for generations to come. He is survived by his wife, his six children from his two marriages, and ten grandchildren. Rest in peace.
