
Rod Stewart, Elton John, and More Pay Tribute to the Late Ozzy Osbourne
The rock legends are remembering the iconic Prince of Darkness following his sudden passing, just weeks after he delivered a memorable final performance.
Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of the metal band Black Sabbath, died on the morning of July 22, 2025. His family announced his death on Tuesday, prompting a massive outpouring of love and tributes from fans and fellow rock stars alike.
Among them is Sir Elton John, who took to Instagram to honor the "Children of the Grave" singer. "So sad to hear the news of @ozzyosbourne passing away," John began.
"He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods - a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I've ever met. I will miss him dearly. To Sharon and the family, I send my condolences and love. Elton xx," he wrote.
Sir Rod Stewart also shared a message for Osbourne, bidding farewell. "Bye, bye, Ozzy. Sleep well, my friend. I'll see you up there — later than sooner," Stewart penned.

Jon Bon Jovi added his own tribute. "Much luv to Sharon and the beautiful Osbourne Family So sorry to hear of your loss. Rest easy Ozzy.." Jovi wrote.
Jason Momoa was among the actors holding up a torch for Osbourne. He shared a photo of himself, Osbourne, and his wife Sharon, from when he hosted the vocalist's "Back to the Beginning" farewell concert.
Osbourne had reunited with the original members of Black Sabbath for his final show. "Love you @ozzyosbourne. All my aloha @sharonosbourne and ohana. So grateful. RIP," Momoa wrote.
Osbourne leaves behind a legacy that will endure for generations to come. He is survived by his wife, his six children from his two marriages, and ten grandchildren. Rest in peace.
