
Denise Richards Claims Estranged Husband Aaron Phypers Physically Assaulted Her amid Their Ongoing Divorce
The actress and actor recently announced their divorce, and she has now been granted a restraining order against her soon-to-be ex-husband.
Recent court documents obtained by People reveal that Denise Richards asked for a temporary domestic violence restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers.
In addition to that, Richards accused Phypers of physical assault and shared photos as evidence. According to the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, this occurred on several occasions between July 4 and 14, 2025.
Richards further claimed that, "throughout our marriage, Aaron threatened to kill me and himself and the police," adding that Phypers "owns at least eight unregistered guns.”
The actress also claimed that the Los Angeles native threatened to make her "disappear" if she called the police. According to her, this isn't the first time this has happened in their relationship as Phypers "repeatedly abused" her while they were married.
The estranged couple tied the knot in September 2018. However, following six years of marriage, Phypers filed for divorce in July 2025. He reportedly filed for a dissolution of marriage without minor children.
