Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson Make Red Carpet Debut at Gala

Their appearance comes just days after the "Savage" rapper sparked dating rumors with the Dallas Mavericks shooting guard with an Instagram bikini carousel.

Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson walked the red carpet for the first time as a couple on Wednesday, July 16, at the Inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala. The exclusive event, hosted by Megan, took place at Gotham Hall in New York City.

The rapper looked stunning in a sleek black gown with a halter-style neckline and a dramatic keyhole cutout. The dress featured a stunning beaded design across the hips, and she completed the look with bold makeup and a low, slicked-back bun.

Beside her, Klay opted for a classic look, donning a black tuxedo with satin lapels, a crisp white shirt, and a black bow tie. He finished the look with shiny black dress shoes and a neatly groomed beard.

The couple were photographed as they arrived for the gala and posed for pictures on the red carpet. They also stopped to speak with reporters, where Megan described how she and Klay met.

"Oh, we met and it was such a meet cute it was like a [expletive] movie," she told PEOPLE. "I won't tell you how and I won't tell you when, but it was a movie that he's the nicest person I've ever met in my life."

The pair's appearance comes after they sparked dating rumors when Megan posted a carousel of photos in a light green bikini while on vacation. Eagle-eyed fans noticed Klay in the background of a few of those images, lounging on a pool chair.

Shortly after, TMZ reported that they were in a relationship. The publication didn't cite any sources, but new lovebirds were spotted out on a date earlier this week, packing on the PDA at Carbone in NYC.
