Colin Jost Breaks Silence on Scarlett Johansson's Repeated Red Carpet Kisses with Jonathan Bailey

The comedian shared an intriguing take on the actors' unfiltered public display of affection, just weeks after they unexpectedly locked lips in front of him.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, a reporter asked the "Saturday Night Live" writer to comment on his wife Scarlett Johansson constantly kissing Jonathan Bailey during their "Jurassic World Rebirth" premiere in London in June 2025.

When asked about that, Jost chuckled before saying, "I guess in 'Jurassic Park' terms, the attack always comes from the raptor you never thought was there. Of all the threats out there, I wasn't thinking it was Jonathan."

"I think it's going to be OK," the comedian added, before noting that people blow it out of proportion if someone kisses their friend hello. He also mentioned the fact that the actor is an "out gay man" so it didn't seem like the biggest threat, adding:

"Jonathan and I, at the red carpet, we were like, 'I guess we have to kiss now? Is that what happens? Close the loop?'"

Bailey and his co-star Johansson were first pictured kissing while greeting each other at the London premiere of the movie franchise. As they approached each other, the actress pulled the "Bridgerton" star by his face and pulled him in as they locked lips and embraced each other while smiling.

The Hollywood duo did the same thing while promoting the film in New York the week after. This time, they kissed in front of Jost.
