Van Halen Frontman David Lee Roth, 70, Steps Out for Rare Sighting in Los Angeles
Nearly two months after performing his first solo concert in five years and announcing an upcoming tour, the rock legend was photographed dressed down and out and about.
On June 26, 2025, Van Halen star David Lee Roth was spotted leaving a building in Los Angeles, California. The 70-year-old rock star donned Carhartt overalls, paired with a brown jacket and cowboy boots.
Gone were the days of his shirtless appearances on stage and long, flowing hair. Instead, he completed his look with a neutral-toned baseball cap and a colorful bandana tied around his neck.
The rare L.A. outing followed Roth's first solo concert in five years. The rock legend took the stage at the M3 Rock Festival in Columbia, Maryland, on May 3, 2025, and wowed the crowd with Van Halen classics.

To top things off, the Van Halen frontman revealed that he would be going on a 2025 summer tour commencing on July 22 in Paso Robles, California, and ending in Napa on September 14. The summer tour will also include shows in Oklahoma, Ohio, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and more.

Roth's musical journey has been a storied one. After rising to fame with Van Halen in the 1970s and climbing the charts with tracks like "Jump," "Hot for Teacher," and "Why Can't This Be Love," he left the band for more than 20 years before rejoining them for a North American tour in 2006

By 2007, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the band. However, by 2021, Roth shared his intention to retire from music, closing out his career with five shows at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay in January 2022. But in the end, he didn't stay away from music for long.
