Stephen Baldwin Speaks Out on Daughter Hailey Bieber's $1 Billion Rhode Deal
Stephen Baldwin is sharing his candid thoughts on daughter Hailey Bieber's blockbuster $1 billion Rhode Skin sale, praising her business acumen while stressing the importance of staying grounded.
Stephen Baldwin opened up about his daughter, Hailey Bieber's, recent success in selling her skincare brand, Rhode, to e.l.f. Beauty for $1 billion, calling the milestone the result of years of smart decision-making and personal dedication.
"It took her three years," Baldwin said during the June 25, 2025 episode of "The Adam Carolla Show." The 59-year-old actor commended Hailey, 28, not just for building a thriving company, but for taking a thoughtful approach to her brand from the beginning.
"The cool part of it is she's super smart, smart in business," he explained. "Succeeded as a model prior to everything she's doing now. But the cool part was she actually had an offer to do something pretty big and cool in the cosmetics a couple years ago and didn't."
Baldwin revealed that Hailey was intentional about creating something authentic – developing a product she would actually use rather than attaching her name to a generic brand. "She wanted it to be something she believed in," he said.
He also credited the Rhode line's success to its quality. "The reason it's succeeding is people are responding to it," Baldwin shared. "It actually works as hydration and all of that."
Reflecting on his approach to parenting, Baldwin said he takes a supportive but hands-off role. "I let my kids do what they're doing," he noted. "And if they want to throw a boomerang at me, I'll call them back."
The actor, who also shares daughter Alaia Baldwin Aronow, 32, added that he feels fortunate both of his daughters married "great guys," referring to Hailey's husband Justin Bieber and Alaia's husband Andrew Aronow.
