Julie Chrisley Reflects on the Moment She Learned She Was Pardoned
The reality TV star opened up about the life-changing moment during an interview on Fox News alongside her family. She and her husband were pardoned by the president after being previously convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion.
Julie Chrisley sat down with Lara Trump on Fox News's "My View" in an interview published on Tuesday, June 24. The former "Chrisley Knows Best" star was joined by her husband, Todd Chrisley, and two of their children, Chase and Savannah Chrisley.

Julie and Todd were serving a combined sentence of 19 years after they were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in November 2022, when President Trump announced on May 27 of this year that he had granted them full pardons.
The president called Savannah personally to inform her that her parents were coming home. Soon after, she called her mother to relay the good news. During their chat with Lara, Julie became a bit emotional as she recounted the moment.

"I called Savannah one more time, and she said, 'He did it! He signed it!' And I just started busting out crying. And everyone was looking around — and then I just hung up. I was so nervous," she recalled.
Julie remembered grabbing the attention of those around her with her reaction, because, "Unfortunately, most of the news that you get in prison is bad news," she said.
On the other hand, Todd said he had a completely different reaction, and seemed so unaffected by the news that they sent someone to his cell to check if he was okay.
"And I said, 'Well, they don't need to be worried about me now. Hell, if I'm pardoned, I'm great!" he recounted. In the end, the couple felt they owed their freedom to God.
