The pop star, 40, appeared visibly stunned as the man danced beside her and placed an arm around her while jumping up and down. Perry spun around to distance herself but continued singing without stopping the show.
Security quickly intervened and attempted to remove the man, who resisted at first. All while her security team handled the situation, Perry walked away from the center of the stage.

During the disruption, Perry kept the atmosphere light, telling the crowd, "Well, there's never going to be another show like it, so just enjoy it, Sydney."
Moments later, after singing a few more lines, she followed up with, "What the hell is going on?" Ultimately, her security detail took the man away, but it is unclear whether he was sent out of the concert or simply back to his seat.
Perry is currently in the midst of "The Lifetimes Tour," her fifth concert tour. She will continue performing across Australia through the end of June before returning to the United States to resume the North American leg of the tour.
