Heidi Klum's Dress Appears to Break Cannes Dress Code on 'Voluminous Trains'
Heidi Klum made a striking entrance at Cannes in a sweeping pink gown with a dramatic train, seemingly ignoring the festival's new ban on voluminous attire.
Just ahead of the Cannes Film Festival, organizers released an updated dress code banning nudity and excessively voluminous clothing.
Despite the decision, Heidi Klum attended the event in a pink gradient petaled gown featuring a long train by Elie Saab. She proudly posed for pictures on the red carpet of the festival's opening night on May 13, 2025.
Organizers of the festival cited "decency reasons" for the stricter rules on dress code. This included banning nudity from the red carpet and other areas, along with voluminous outfits, emphasizing "in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater."
In addition, they wrote, "The Festival welcoming teams will be obligated to prohibit Red Carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules." However, with Klum walking the red carpet, it is unclear whether Cannes organizers are enforcing these rules strictly.
Heidi Klum's Cannes Film Festival appearance comes after her King's Trust Gala sighting in New York on May 1, 2025. She attended the event with her daughter, Leni Klum, at Casa Cipriani, donning equally stunning matching black outfits.
