According to reports, Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at 29, has made rare public appearances in recent years. One was a surprise appearance in January 2025 at the Fan Expo in New Orleans.
The 63-year-old was joined by his "Back to the Future" former castmates, including Christopher Lloyd, Huey Lewis, Lea Thompson, and Tom Wilson.

During the event, he was the last guest to grace the stage and received warm cheering and a standing ovation from fellow attendees. The former child star danced to "The Power of Love" performed by Lewis and even attempted to replicate his guitar-playing act from the film as Thompson and Lloyd watched and applauded.
Despite retreating from the limelight, the acclaimed Hollywood A-lister has often attended fan conventions and expos over the past few years.
